Douglas A. Melton, Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator and professor of molecular and cellular biology at Harvard University, speaks on the controversial topic of embryonic stem cells, or ES cells. ES cells are cells that can be isolated from early embryos, before they differentiate into specific types of cells. Because stem cells have the potential to generate fresh, healthy cells of nearly any type, there is interest in exploring their use to treat and cure various diseases. The societal controversy regarding human ES cells relates primarily to their derivation from very early embryos. In addition, certain stem cell lines are developed using a cloning technique called somatic cell nuclear transfer, which can generate cells that are an exact genetic match to a patient.

Indische Botschaft Berlin oder Service Agenturen über das Internet, postalisch.

Was ist das Einzigartige an der Therapie und woraus genau bestehen die Stammzellen, die von Dr. Geeta Shroff angewendet werden?

Woher stammen diese Stammzellen eigentlich?

Von einem US Amerikanischen Ehepaar. Nach erfolgter Geburt von Zwillingsmädchen, hatten die Eltern, wie weltweit üblich die folgenden drei Optionen, wie mit den weiteren befruchteten Zellen verfahren werden soll:

A. Vernichtung; da kein Kinderwunsch mehr besteht
B. Einfrieren für spätere Verwendungszwecke
C. Freigabe für Forschungszwecke

Die medizinsche Historie des Paares war aussergewöhnlich, denn es gab über Generationen keinerlei Hinweis einer jeglicher ernsten Erkrankung. Im Gegenteil das Immunsystem der Elternteile wies eine ungewöhnliche Stärke auf. Nun gelang es in jahrelanger wissenschaftlicher Forschung und Laborkunde diese Zellen nicht nur beliebig nach zu züchten, sondern Frau Dr. Shroff gelang es eine biologische Trägersubstanz zu entwickeln.

Is it really true? The home is getting closer and closer. My trip to India that began on July 10 is now over in a few days? Yes, it is reality. Nine long and turn short weeks are over.

Colors, colors, colors.

Splendor, pomp and palaces.

One of the origins and the future of medicine.

In India I was given a new life.

Thankfully, I am now satisfied and grounded shortly before my trip home.

The next day I hear Jerry and Dolores travel today. I see my fellow patients, Jerry once, for wearing a green T-shirt saying "tick bite and Lyme sucks!"
